birth experience

I can remember this like it was yesterday. October 23, 2012 at 3:44p.m. I gave birth to my first son. The entire 9 months of being pregnant was AWESOME. I enjoyed every moment and day of being pregnant. I was so afraid when my water broke at 5 a.m. I almost panic because I didn’t know what to do, and was afraid I would be in the hospital alone because I knew my husband had class and my mom was at work. Once my water broke, I walked around the house in circles basically trying to decided which way to go because bags wasn’t packed, it was cold outside and I was in shock and afraid. The arrival at the hospital wasn’t as bad as I thought but once I got connected to my ivs and begin taking the pain medicine my nervous calm down. Well you know when everything is going goof someone has to mess that up. My doctor was so mean and rude to me because I was in pain, crying and barely breathing. Lesson learned from that situation I don’t plan to deliver there again. I begin pushing and this was the hardest part to me. I had an epidural and only one some of my body was taking the medicine well.. Pushing, Pushing and Pushing my baby head finally came out but of course the doctor wasn’t there just the nurse so my husband and mom was holding my leg and I couldn’t feel it so I almost closed my legs with my baby head out but I didn’t. As I continued to push and push my baby out he had no response when he first came out the womb. My heart dropped, and I begin praying. My baby oxygen was low so they put him on oxygen and finally got a response. Also, my baby was air lifted to Jackson, MS the same night because his sugar was low. I hadn’t never seen him, touched him, held him or nothing and they come telling me he had to go my heart was broken into pieces. After all a day later, I got to my son and we stayed in the hospital for a week and came on home. Now he is 10 months and a healthy and active baby. Reasoning being that I wanted to discuss my birthing was because this is my first child and I was so excited for me and my family.

In Germany, The biggest baby was born and no c section was needed. I applaud her for being able to push out an 13 pound baby. This isn’t a shocking to me because I have a sister who baby was 11 pound but she had to have an c section. Being that a 15 pound baby was delivered naturally is shocking to me because you have all type of women that want children and can’t get them.
