Growing Up I always volunteered throughout my community. One
experience of voluntary work that I will never forget is a childhood cancer research.
Many children were selected to participate depending on your health history
from the community clinic. Letters were sent to parents asking to let their
child participate. My duty for this event was to keep the children occupied
until it was their turn to give blood. Many were frightened but they were okay because
their parents stay by their side. Some children were saying, I don’t want to
have cancer because I will die? Not knowing that it’s a treatment for cancer because
they were young children. We sang songs, acted out different movies and
completed art while waiting their turn to give blood. This experience made me
realize that I wanted to major in Early Childhood education because I was their
seeing the fears in children and to be able to comfort them and keep them happy
and motivated. A great experience Overall.

Child Guidance
The research topic that Ive chosen is child guidance. The reason I choose this topic is because I'm a head start teacher and I experience a child acting out everyday. Re direction doesn't work for him and calling mommy to the school doesn't work. As i stated in my first discussion I'm seeking ways to help my student behavior the proper way at school each day besides having to redirect him because that makes things worst. What are some good resources i can use to help me compile my research on child guidance? This child doesn't have to proper guidance that's needed for him, so he comes to school and misbehave. Each time, he knows exactly what hes doing wrong but he still insist on doing whatever each day.
