Observing Communication

Every day after work, I go to a park close to my house to exercise with coworkers. It’s a baseball field; playground and splash pad at this park so we know children and parents will be there. I begin stretching and a mother and daughter passed by walking pushing a stroller. I hear briefly of what they were discussing. The mother was trying to build her daughter up by letting her know she can do go at school and can bring home better grades. The mom told her that if she brings better grades home she will take her to Disney world for her birthday. The little girl begins to say “Thank you Mom, you’re the best Mom ever. Her mom replied, I’m not the best mom but I try to stop you from being how your mom was. She called her daughter name and said “I don’t want you to be like me when I was your age, I Want you to be better”. I ran pass them and begin to think, that was very touching and as a parent I think we should keep our kids motivated and encouraged. My kids are only 4 and 15 months and I tell them ALL the time, I want you to be better than mom. I didn’t have a rough life or hard time growing up but in the world today you never know what may happen or who they may connect with so I try to keep mine encouraged, uplifted and motivated. Communication is the Key it will never fail you..

Blessed Hands In Home Daycare

Welcome to Blessed Hands Child Care center. First off I would like to say that opening my own in home daycare is a dream come true. Kids are my passion and having a in home daycare will be a startup for an expansion daycare building. In my in-home daycare the atmosphere will always be welcoming and inviting. I will make sure that all toys are sanitized each day and that the environment is child safe and ready each morning as the kids arrives. Techniques I’ve learned from my job will carry over into my in home daycare such as checklists to make sure that I do a morning walk through scanning to make sure that we can begin the day with no worries and that each child is in great care and safe. My main focus is to help my children grow educationally and developmentally. My in-home daycare will e set up similar to the preschool classrooms. I will make sure that environmental print is visible so that they can discuss different places they visit or want to visit. Alphabets will be posted throughout the classroom and the students will wrote alphabets and names periodically. “The look and the sounds of the room reflect the family culture and daily lives of those children (Derman-Sparks & Olsen Edwards, 2010.)”. In my in home daycare we will treat it just like a preschool program, so we will for homework and prepare for the areas changes with ideas from pint rest. My room in my in home daycare will be nice put together i.e. paper will be filled, classroom will remain clean each day, and respect will be given amongst the teacher, Students and parents.   Throughout the day flashcards will be displayed throughout the building letting students know “we are all friends and we play together. My in home daycare will cater to the needs of 3-5 year olds. My staff would consist of my husband and me. He has a passion to work with kids as well. Within my daycare I will make sure that it’s adorable for single moms. In closing, I will let parents know that we have an open door policy and they are welcome to always come in and volunteer.
